Gluten free
Information from the Nutrition Centre shows that around one percent of the Dutch have some form of gluten intolerance. It is important that these people can have a gluten free diet. Very often this is assumed to mean not eating bread, cakes, biscuits and pasta. But seasonings can also contain (traces of) gluten. Avoiding gluten is important because it can trigger a reaction that causes inflammation of and damage to the digestive tract and symptoms including diarrhoea or constipation, skin rashes, joint pain and headaches. Dutch Spices deems it important that everyone with a gluten intolerance can also eat delicious food without worrying. It’s why Dutch Spices’ seasonings are gluten free and it contributes towards our motto: Freedom of taste.
