Allergen safety
Around two to three percent of Europeans – that’s around 20 million people – have a diagnosed food allergy. Almost the same number of people have a food intolerance which, in many cases, means their entire household follows an allergen free diet. So, adding it all together, every day well over 40 million Europeans have to deal with a food hypersensitivity. That can make life complicated. It certainly makes reading all the labels and doing the shopping a time-consuming chore. Eating out is also less spontaneous and can cause tension because it involves a (considerable) reliance on others.
