Dutch Spices stands out again with SimplyOK certification
At the end of 2022 Dutch Spices successfully passed the SimplyOK certification audit. This audit comprises a thorough check of a company’s allergen management system. In 2018 Dutch Spices became the first company in the world to be awarded this certification. During the annual audits since then the herbs & spices supplier has repeated its excellent performance and retained its SimplyOK certification.
Food that is safe for everyone
Dutch Spices’ mission is to produce food that is safe for everyone. But in a world in which food safety and allergen management are increasingly important, producing delicious, allergen free and healthy food that everyone can eat is a challenge: A challenge, but as our certification proves, not impossible.
Dietary trends and food safety
Dutch Spices keeps a very close watch on trends related to food. One key trend is the growing interest in following a plant-based diet. Another major development is the Clean Label-trend which began a few years ago. If you would like to know more about food trends and safe seasonings please feel free to contact us.
What is SimplyOK?
SimplyOK’s goal is for allergen information to be communicated clearly, reliably and completely around the world, for example on labels and in product specifications. To achieve this the Foundation checks the allergen management systems of food production and processing companies via a certification system. The checks, or audits, are carried out by specially-trained auditors of the Vinçotte ISACert and Lloyd’s Register certification service providers. The auditors pay extra attention to the five basic pillars of allergen management, which include the prevention of cross-contamination. A SimplyOK-audit is always supplementary to an FSSC, BRC or IFS audit.
