The 2024 Craft Butcher Expo took place on Sunday 28 January at The Curragh Racecourse in County Kildare, Ireland. This trade fair focuses primarily on companies that supply butchers, shops and restaurants with seasonings with which they can enhance the flavour and value of their meat products. A wide selection of Dutch Spices’ inclusive seasonings could be tasted on the very busy stand of the Company’s Irish partner.
Dutch Spices is an appreciated ingredients supplier
People like working with Dutch Spices. This is one of the outcomes of research carried out by VMT – the media platform for food professionals in the food industry.
The Dutch Partner of Choice is an independent investigation carried out by VMT to ascertain the food industry’s number one choice of suppliers with which to do business. The result is a supplier survey that can help food professionals make the right purchasing decisions. Over 300 readers and visitors to the platform filled in the questionnaire that covered 12 relevant working areas, such as food ingredients, hygiene and automation. The answers to the question ‘With which companies do you most enjoy doing business?’ put Dutch Spices in third place in the food ingredients category.
Thank you for your trust
Dutch Spices Director, Elske Mouw, is delighted with this appreciation: “And all my colleagues along with me. We thank the readers and contacts for their trust and for the enjoyable collaboration.” The good result proves – among other things – that Dutch Spices is at the forefront when it comes to the topic of inclusivity. Elske Mouw: “We work in close collaboration with allies to further our mission and vision in this area. We do this with an optimistic and positive team. Together we want to be of significance for the large group of people for whom the choice of what to eat is not always simple.”
Structure of the survey
The first question the survey asked the participants was whether they were involved with the purchasing of products and/or services. If they answered: ‘yes’ the next question asked them to indicate the categories of products and/or services they purchased. They were then asked which of the suppliers known to them was their preferred supplier. This survey structure meant that only the purchasing readers indicated which supplier they preferred. The survey outcome was a top-5 of the most appreciated suppliers per category – with Dutch Spices in a great third place in the food ingredients category.
